How we review casinos

Every casino ranked on this site has been tested by our editorial team with real AUD deposits. Here is exactly how we rate them.

Updated 24 April 2026 · Editorial standard

The 6-step review process

  1. Licence verification — we cross-check the operator's licence number against the official registry (MGA, Curaçao GCB, Isle of Man GSC, etc.) before any other rating work begins. Unlicensed or expired operators are rejected on the spot.
  2. Real-money gameplay — minimum A$150 deposit, played across pokies, live dealer, and one table game. We record session times, RTP observations, and any platform glitches.
  3. T&Cs deep dive — we read the full bonus terms, payment terms, dormant-account clauses, and dispute resolution policy. Anything unusual goes in the review.
  4. Withdrawal speed test — at least one real withdrawal is requested and timed from approval → bank account. Slower than 72 hours without a KYC reason? It's called out.
  5. Payments & KYC audit — we verify supported methods (PayID, BPAY, Neosurf, crypto) work as advertised and check that KYC requests are reasonable.
  6. Responsible gambling check — deposit limits, session timers, cooling-off tools, BetStop references. Missing tools dock points.
